ARMANDO GRAJALES

Meet Armando, a seasoned construction professional with a wealth of experience and expertise. Armando’s journey in the construction industry began in 1996 at Leyendecker Construction, Inc. in Laredo, Texas, where he started as a construction laborer. He then spent seven years working in Mexico before returning to the United States in 2007 to work as an Estimator for McAllen Construction, Inc. In 2008, he ventured into self-employment as an independent contractor.

Over the years, Armando’s career took him to various roles and locations, including serving as an Operations and Logistics Manager for Halcon Trading in Houston and working as a Utilities Contractor for S&A Contracting upon his return to the Rio Grande Valley in 2015. His journey continued with various positions at SAMES, Inc. and Clore Construction Company, where he held roles ranging from Construction Estimator/Project Manager to Construction Project Manager.

In 2020, Armando joined the Granchelli Construction family, bringing his extensive experience to the team as a Senior Cost Estimator and Project Manager. Armando holds various certifications, including Construction Quality Management, Preparing Bids for Construction Contracting, HeavyBid Training, 30-Hour OSHA, and Pipe Installation and Post Inspection Training.

Aside from Armando’s extensive construction experience, he has also received a degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M International University from Laredo, Texas and a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Autonama de Tamaulipas, Nuevo Laredo.

Armando’s dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by his receipt of the Construction Manager of the Year for 2023-2024 Award at the 2024 Engineers Week Gala. It was given to him by the American Society of Civil Engineering and the Texas Society of Professional Engineers. With his proven track record of success, Armando continues to play a vital role in delivering exceptional construction projects for Granchelli Construction.
